Therapeutic Ultrasound

The ultrasound is a method of stimulating the tissue beneath the skin’s surface using very high frequency sound waves to speed up recovery. The ultrasound increases targeted blood flow to compromised tissue.

It is also a gentle massage to muscles and tendons or ligaments helping to soften scar tissue and allow a stronger recovery. The physical stimulation appears to enhance cellular repair and decrease inflammation to the affected area. It is especially helpful for soft tissue injuries.

Therapeutic Ultrasound is used to treat the following:

  • Tendonitis
  • Suspensory sprains and strains
  • Bursitis
  • Scar tissue
  • Adhesion
  • Muscle pulls
  • Sore backs
