Dr. Mark Wooten has been performing a wide variety of routine surgeries for a number of years. The facilities at Equine Performax allow for a controlled and safe induction in a padded room with full inhalation anesthesia that is administered by a trained veterinary technician during the procedure. This allows the surgeon to fully concentrate on the operation. Following surgery, the horse is placed back into the padded room to recover safely. Some of our surgical options include neurectomy (nerving), castrations including cryptorchids, umbilical hernia repair, cribbing surgery and enucleation (eye removal). Colic surgeries are referred out.
